Columbia River Gorge House. Located on the WA side of gorge. In process exterior design renderings. Fire resilience and sustainable system are two of the main goals of this project. Located in the national scenic area the dark materials palette is designed to blend with the surrounding small woodland landscape. A few of the main materials will be a custom dark matte low reflective metal roofing and trim, yaki-sugi wood wall cladding, a deep South facing roof projection to shade the main bi fold glazed doors and grouped casement windows, natural timber wood pergola and columns. The overall project extends into a deeper permaculture approach to the stewardship of land in this truly unique and special landscape of the Columbia Gorge
