We are currently in the Design Development (DD) phase for our current Columbia River Gorge Home interior design. The DD phase typically involves moving further into developing the projects ME&P systems, materials and color palettes, interior design elements,  detailing and sustainable strategies. The Gorge home interior design includes a mix of natural materials and color palettes inspired by the Columbia River Gorge landscape. These renderings are an initial pass at design options as we are currently exploring as we work through the homes interiors. We are exploring creating a open light filled space that is imbued with warm and textured interior elements The clients are invested in taking a permaculture approach to the over all landscape, and therefore we will be looking for the interior Doug Fir wood surfacing to be sourced onsite, milled, cured and detailed as well as incorporating native white Oregon oak and basalt locally sourced from the surrounding Columbia River Gorge. We will also be exploring natural clay based earthen plasters on select interior walls to provide texture and warmth. Rhiza A+D will be looking into providing custom design built metal and steel elements; stairs, railing , kitchen elements, fixtures and exterior elements. Stay tuned for future development of this exciting project.
