We are excited to be working on a new Residence that will be located on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge near Stevenson WA. Situate on a forested 20 acre lot with plenty of water shed going around and below to the river, the house will also feature many sustainable elements as well as being highly adapted for future wild fire resistance. Views to the River will be minimized per the National Scenic Review standards and minimal topography will be moved. The house itself is approx. 2,000 sf and has 3 bedrooms and two and half baths with the primary bedroom and bath on the ground floor for future aging in place options. A single sloped roof will be used as a rain water catchment system as well as providing a raised location for solar panels within the forested build site. River facing South glazing will be shaded via awnings and the exterior metal cladding and roof will be a natural darker tone and use a special non reflective finish to reduce reflection and preserve views from around the gorges scenic view points.
